Launching Post

Hello hello! Thank you so much for taking time to read my first post about Fashion Conservy!
So I was at a voluntary program last year (2016) where I was teaching some members of the youth how to make bags, and so we had little material to use for the bags and then I thought ''What if we use old clothes to make these bags?''

BAM! my first experience with re-purposing clothes into new stuffs started. I researched and taught myself how to make things from old clothes, coupled with my tailoring lessons from my NYSC Days. At that time I had taken a course on CLIMATE CHANGE from YALI Online which really struck me, coz I mean if our planet goes extinct, then we are all gone!

So with my desire to contribute to the cause of championing environmental safety and absolute LOVE for cutting up clothes (lolz,) Fashion Conservy started. So here we are today, launching and setting down the foundation to a long amazing journey of promoting responsible consumption through fashion, I call it ''ECO FASHION!''

SO I made the yellow handbag above from an old trouser, I used the iron design from my old bag to secure the hand of the bag which turned out great . . . so save your old bags, hair-clips, shoes iron and so many others, you never know . , , we can always use one or two things from them!
